The southern Caribbean, between Martinique and Grenada, is one of the best sailing areas in the West Indies. The wind is steady, generally between 15 and 20 knots. The sea is warm. The beaches of white sand and blue water look like paradise.
Aboard the ORC57 Avel Vaez, you’ll visit the region’s destinations, including the magnificent islands of St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
With a one-week cruise to the Grenadines, departing from the port of Le Marin or Rodney Bay, you’ll already have a great overview of the area.
On a week’s sailing cruise in the Grenadines, you’ll sail a total distance of around 250 nautical miles.
That works out at around 30 to 40 nautical miles each day, giving you the opportunity to visit the Grenadines’ most emblematic places, and make the most of the islands and anchorages.
Upon arrival on board, our skipper will give a thorough safety briefing and set sail directly to Saint Lucia.
This downwind leg will be an opportunity to play with Avel Vaez’s capabilities.
This leg is typically a long sail with any other boat. With Avel Vaez, this leg promises to be enjoyable and fun.
This will be a pleasant offshore leg, and Avel Vaez will be sailing very fast.
At the end of the day, time spent snorkeling on the reef will leave unforgettable memories.
A day of relaxation and idleness in the West Indies, in a new paradise anchorage.
Going north, we sail close to the wind and can test how easy it is to go upwind with Avel Vaez.
This will be the longest upwind sail.
Return to Le Marin in the evening, after one last day to take advantage of Avel Vaez’s sailing capabilities.
