Atlantic Crossing from Gibraltar to the Canaries

The first leg of the Atlantic Crossing on our way to the Caribbeans departs from Gibraltar early November. We invite you to come aboard our ORC57 catamaran for a one-week Atlantic Crossing from Gibraltar to the Canaries Islands. Weather permitting, from Gibraltar, Avel Vaez sails toward the island of Madeira. After a stopover on the beautiful Portuguese island, Avel Vaez heads to Las Palmas, on Gran Canaria Island– in the Canaries. This archipelago of the coast of Africa is the main stopover for all sailboats crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

What to expect?

For this short crossing, we have on board three professional crew (skipper, mate and seaman/hostess). We have two double cabins for up to four guests. You will be able to participate in all maneuvers, and our professional crew will show you how to operate on board Avel Vaez.

What’s next?

Las Palmas is also the starting point of the famous ARC, the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers. Following this initial cruise, if you’d like to continue the adventure with Avel Vaez and her professional crew, you can take part in the ARC Ocean Crossing rally!
