Note: The cruise we propose here would be ideal on a two-week charter, to ensure the Doro strait passage will be easy to sail through.
Accessing the Sporades is not an easy task. It requires some skills and some luck as the strait of Doro can be very windy when the Meltemi is blowing. Between the cliffs of Evia and the mountains on Andros, the wind funnels through this narrow strait and accelerate like in a venturi. The reward is worth the wait as the Sporades are on every cruiser “to-do” list.
