Sailing through the Azores

After sailing across the Northern Atlantic Ocean from the Caribbeans to Horta, Avel Vaez will set off again for another offshore passage on this Atlantic Crossing Azores Gibraltar. We will navigate through the Azores and wait for the best weather window to set sails for this final leg of our Atlantic Crossing.

Final leg

This is typically a downwind sail, a pleasant one on board Avel Vaez. We often see large marine life between the Azores and the continental Europe, dolphins, whales, moonfish, tunas, dorades, etc. We prefer not to see the orcas as we near Gibraltar. These large, beautiful animals have a bad habit to play with the appendices under the hulls. So, we keep our distances to these.

Schedule

Plan to arrive on April 28th in Horta. Expect to arrive around May 5th in Gibraltar.

• Single individual: 4 950 euros
• Double cabin: 9 900 euros
• APA (advanced provisioning allowance): 10-15%
